This Church Father was a great Christian theologian and patriarch of the Coptic church in the 4th century, as well as the chief defender of the Trinitarian faith. St.Athanasius is best known for defending the Faith against the Arian heresy at the council of Nicaea, and for his numerous theological literature and scholarly work. He was also the one who consecrated the first Bishop of Aksum (Ethiopia & Eritrea) St. abba Selama. All Church’s commemorate him as a Pillar of Faith. May his blessings be with us all!
